DC Shopian inaugurates 2-days census training programme
SHOPIAN, MARCH 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, who is also Principal Census Officer, today inaugurated two days training programme for district and Census Charge Officers for smooth conduct of house listing and housing Census 2020-21 in the district.
Among others the programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Director Census, Nodal Officer Census, Master Trainer and other concerned.
During the programme, training was imparted regarding the procedure to be adopted for collection of data on various operational and structural variables of all establishments in the district by the Enumerators and Supervisors deployed by Census Charge Officers.
On the occasion, the DC directed the field staff to visit every household and establishment in the Enumeration Blocks assigned to them and capture complete and correct information on the Mobile application developed for the purpose.
He stressed on meaningful and accurate data capturing as the data to be collected is of a great importance for planning of various socio-economic developmental activities in future at UT and National level.
