The connectivity was restored gradually nearly after five months; however, the mobile internet continues to be restricted to 2G speed.

The Solicitor General has sought more time to file affidavit. The Supreme Court also asked the Center and J-K administration to get information about the ground situation in J-K and file a detailed affidavit by Sunday. The next hearing has been scheduled for Monday.

Being a declared fundamental right, people of Jammu and Kashmir are keenly watching how Supreme Court will deal with petition for the restoration of 4G services especially as COVID-19 cases are only piling up here.

People have lot of hope on Supreme Court especially the student community has all educational institutions are closed and they have only internet available for virtual classrooms. But for imparting education in homes, high speed internet is needed as demanded by Kashmir Private School Association also.
