Kulgam gunfight: Two more militants killed, army officer injured
Srinagar: Two more militants were killed in a brief shootout in Guddar area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday evening.
Police sources told that militants this evening attacked patrolling party of 9 RR in Asthal village of Kulgam. Government forces retaliated resulting in the encounter.
Total four militants were killed in the exchange of fire. One army officer identified as Major Patel has also received bullet injury. Sources said that officer received bullet in the leg and was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Identification of the slain militants is being ascertained. (KNT)
