Militant hideout busted in Srinagar’s Harwan
Srinagar : Combined Forces launched a cordon and search operation in Srinagar outskirts and claimed that it recovered arms and ammunition during the operation.
Official sources told news agency KNT that a search operation was launched by soldiers from 5 and 20 Rashtriya Rifles in Harwan forest area of Srinagar outskirts. During the operation, a hideout was busted and arms and ammunition recovered.
Sources added that one magazine of AK-47 rifle, 30 rounds of AK-47 rifle, one UGBL and 6 grenades were found in the hideout.
The hideout was found closed to Dachigam National Park. Pertinently, a massive crackdown was launched a couple of days ago in and around Dachigam National Park to track down the militants. These areas include, Burzuwas, Ladrewas, Mahadev, Mamneit and others. (KNT)
