Exploitation of domicile law to change demography unacceptable: JKCSF
Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): New Domicile law is aimed to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir. Terming it an onslaught on constitutional , political , economic, Cultural and ,employment rights and a devastation for the environment of j&k, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum, JKCSF led by Abdul Qayoom Wani said that this move is totally unacceptable to the people of Jand K.
JKCSF said In a statement issued to KNS said that the domicile law was undemocratic and unconstitutional as it goes against the motives of Jammu and Kashmir society in general with exploitation of its resources, demography and the right to employment. The statement reads that Jammu and Kashmir has its own resources and exploitation of these resource by non locals will never be suitable and sensible for the economy and ecology here. These resources have been preserved and nourished by our forefather generations and any move to cause any change in the safeguarding and usage of these indigenous treasurs will not be tolerated.
Chairman JKCSF,Abdul Qayoom Wani said that people irrespective of cast ,,creed ,colour ,region,and religion need to raise peaceful voice against it.
He said Issuing wholesale Domicile certificates to non state subjects is unfortunate amid covid 19 when whole world is under constant fear and threat of life saving.people too are indoors and that does not means govt takes its undue mileage to pass such orders and start issuing these domicile cerificates.
Wani expressed grief over the killing of innocent boy of Bijbehara, Nehan Bhat and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
