100 bedded block coming up at District Hospital Kishtwar
DDC inspects pace of ongoing work
KISHTWAR, JULY 29: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today inspected pace of progress on100 bedded block, here at District Hospital Complex.
He was accompanied by Deputy General Manager, JKPCC, Raman Sahni, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Dr. Parveez Iqbal Wani, Executive Engineer, PWD, Romesh Kumar and others.
The DDC inquired about the status of the under execution three storey additional 100 bedded block being constructed by JK PCC unit Kishtwar.
He urged the executing agency to complete the project as soon as possible so that the additional block is made functional for the benefit of the general public.
The DGM, JKPCC, informed that the additional is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 19.64 crore and is to be completed by June 2022.
On its completion, it would augment the capacity of district hospital in managing the increasing caseloads.
Further, he informed that an amount of Rs1.38 crore was released and has been utilised in the procurement of steel, surface and other foundation work so far.
Meanwhile, the DDC also inspected the Ophthalmology Block, which is being constructed by PWD (sub division Kishtwar) at an estimated cost of Rs 82 lakh. It was informed that the construction of the block is going in full swing and shall be completed by the end of this year.
The Block will consist of 05 rooms along with the toilet facilities informed, XEN PWD. He further informed that an ICU block will be constructed on the first floor of the Block in the second phase for which plan stands approved and DPR is under process.
