Hot autumn
While this is the season for the rural people of Jammu and Kashmir to go for harvesting, hundreds of villages near to the LOC are facing huge difficulties due to the recent sprut in the border shelling cases.
Many houses have been damaged in the past few months and many villagers have been killed and some of them injured due to the continuous border shelling in these villages.
The latest border shelling has resulted in escalation in the tensions as the Kupwara is showing an upward trend with no let up in the shelling and counter shelling.
Whether the other side is getting a befitting reply or not fact remains that poor villagers of kasahir are facing the brunt of the situation and it was reflected in the parliament recently by the MP and Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah.
He mentioned the losses being suffered by the villagers by the border shelling and told the government that if they can talk to China why not to Pakistan in order to give some respite to the people living near the border.
Farooq Abdullah said that border villagers have suffered a lot post August 5, 2019, as the LOC violations incidents have increased many fold and the sufferers are the villagers who have even lost their lives due to such tensions on the borders.
