Talks must
Talks are very important and the political parties of any place especially from Jammu and Kashmir have to talk with the central government on various issues and cannot shirk this responsibility.
In power politics it is all the more important to be on the right side of the power especially if the mainstream political party is from Kashmir. Justifying the meeting with the Prime Minister soon after he formed a political party known as JK Apni Party Altaf Bukhari said that what was wrong in holding talks with Modi.
He questions his political opponents’ especially PAGD on this issue and said that if the Kashmiri leadership will not talk to the Prime Minister then they should talk to the president of the USA.

Another senior leader of the party, Ghulam Hassan Mir, said whatever happened on August 5, 2019 will always pain our hearts. The utterances of Apni Party leaders in Srinagar rally has shown that the new party which emerged on the political horizon in Jammu and Kashmir just a few months back has realized that they will have to distance themselves from BJP if they have to emerge visibly in Kashmir.
