Covid Task Force
The Jammu and Kashmir administration recently got the instructions from LG Manoj Sinha that they should prepare themselves for the future pandemic waves and have the capacity building exercise done in all the districts so that the officials are ready to face any situation.
During the second wave of pandemic, Jammu and Kashmir administration especially the health department has learnt a lot of lessons especially regarding the oxygen supply and also about the availability of oxygen concentrators for the patients who were suffering due to the covid-19 infection.
The oxygen plants were installed and the already existing oxygen plants in many hospitals across Jammu and Kashmir were given the funds to enhance the capacity of oxygen generation and it helped a lot during the peak of the wave to provide the necessary oxygen supply to the patients.
Many serious patients of covid infection recovered due to the proper supply of oxygen and other medicines and it has really brought the death rate down and also saved many families from this infection.
If in future, there is another wave of pandemic; LG Manoj Sinha has in the series of meetings in the recent past asked his officers to be ready to face it so that the common people do not suffer in any manner.
He has asked the health department to keep itself in the readiness to face any such wave in future and has asked all the DC’s to monitor the situation in their respective districts about the positive cases of covid infection so that the spread of the infection is arrested.
