Bridge of administration
The government of Jammu and Kashmir has described the Panchayati Raj system as a bridge between the administration and the common people.
LG Manoj Sinha is giving a lot of priority to this system to work on the ground in Jammu and Kashmir so that the work culture is maintained at the village level with the help of Panchayati Raj system.
Recently he interacted with DDC Chairpersons of Kashmir division in order to get feedback about the works being done and also about the problems being faced while the policies of the government were being implemented on the ground.
During the meeting he was quoted in the media saying that the 3-tiers of Panchayati Raj system – a bridge between policies & their on-ground implementation.
He stressed on the fact that there should be focus on the area-specific needs & developmental aspirations of people so that the development gets a proper direction and the works are executed according to the needs of the people at the village level.
He told the DDC chairpersons of Kashmir valley that it was their duty to provide the feedback at the highest level so that the proper directions go to the ground for the implementation of different developmental projects. He sought Public Representatives’ feedback on the pace of developmental projects, other public important issues, so that he can give the directions required to the administration on the ground to work accordingly.
