ACEO, National Health Authority, GoI reviews performance of ABPM-JAY, ABPM-JAY Sehat scheme across J&K
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 27: Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO), National Health Authority (NHA), Government of India, Dr. Praveen Geedam today chaired a meeting to review the progress and performance of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-JAY) Scheme and National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Principal GMC, Srinagar, Dr. Samia Rashid; CEO, AB PM-JAY, J&K, Doifode Sagar Dattatray; MD, NHM, Choudhary Yasin; Director Health Services, Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Rather and other senior officers of the department attended the meeting while as Principal GMC, Jammu, Director Health Services, Jammu, Medical Superintendents of Teritiary care Hospitals, Medical Superintendents of District Hospitals, CMOs of all the districts and other concerned officials participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Praveen said that Jammu and Kashmir has done exceptionally well in the implementation of scheme on the ground and a large number of populace has taken benefits from this scheme.
The ACEO highlighted that there is a scope of improvement in every field and the database of the scheme will be updated in coming months which will make the process much smooth and will help in effective implementation of the scheme.
Dr. Praveen delved upon the officers for the micro management from the ground level in order to achieve the desired objectives of the scheme. He asked them to make the process of claims smooth with a mechanism of avoiding duplication and effective checking of documents uploaded for claiming benefits under the scheme.
The ACEO further asked the officers to expand the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities across the length and breadth of J&K involving all the stakeholders like PRIs and other institutions so that more people get aware about this scheme.
On the occasion CEO, AB PM-JAY, J&K gave a detailed presentation on the achievements made under this scheme. He informed the meeting that as on date 49.1 lakh Ayushman cards covering 14 lakh families (70%) have been generated across J&K which is much above the National average of 59.2 %.
