DC Kulgam conducts surprise visit to Distt. Hospital
Takes stock of patient-care services; directs to provide best patient care services
KULGAM, AUGUST 27: To take stock of healthcare facilities being provided to the patients, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today paid a surprise visit to District Hospital Kulgam.
During the visit, the DC inspected various wards and sections of the hospital including emergency, operation theatre, post-operation ward, Dental Section, OPD sections, Blood bank and other sections in the hospital.
He also enquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostics and other facilities available in the hospital and Medical Superintendent, Muzaffar Ahmad briefed the DC about the availability of medicines and services being provided to patients at the hospital.
The DC directed the hospital administration to maintain complete hygiene in and around the hospital and provide better medical care facilities to the patients.
He also directed the Medical Superintendent to set up additional ticket counters to avoid rush and inconvenience to people and install computers at ticket counters to generate computerized tickets.
The DC also stressed for proper utilization of human resources and to serve the patients with utmost dedication and sincerity. He instructed the hospital authorities to make operation theatre functional round the clock.
He also took serious note of congestion within the premises of the hospital and issued instructions for streamlining the system with proper parking of vehicles in dedicated parking zones.
The DC also inspected a new Oxygen generation plant which is in the final phase of completion. He also inspected covid care dedicated hospital and took stock of arrangements available here.
He directed the hospital authorities to ensure that people and staff are wearing masks and following Covid-19 with letter and spirit.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mir Imitiyaz-ul-Aziz, Chief Medical Officer, Rafeeq Ahmad during the visit.
