Brawl between non-local labourers at Budgam brick kiln leaves a labourer dead
Budgam: In a scuffle between non-local labourers at a brick kiln in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, a labourer from Uttar Pradesh got killed. The accused fled away after the incident while police managed to nab one while a hunt has been launched to arrest the other accused who has been evading arrest.
The brick Kiln (71B) where is incident occurred is owned by Riyaz Ahmed Najar and others and is located at Labartal Budgam.
The reason behind the scuffle was not immediately known.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that some non-local labourers, all from Shahjahanpur Uttar Pradesh got into a brawl in which one labourer namely Maan Singh (35) got seriously injured and was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police registered an FIR vide number 297/2021 under section 307 and later converted to section 302 at police station Budgam.
The accused had fled from the scene of crime and on Satruday morning one accused namely Dinesh Singh son of Kali Caran was arrested.
Police sources said that another accused Room Ram son of Ram Burase is absconding and a hunt has been luanched to trace him. (KNT)
