DC Doda reviews winter preparedness
Asks departments to reactivate response mechanism
DODA, OCTOBER 27: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to take stock of the arrangements to be put in place for the ensuing winter season.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized on readying men and machinery to deal with interruptions of supply of water, electricity and road closure due to rains and snowfall during the winter months.
With regard to hassle free supply of ration, AD FCS&CA apprised that requirement for advance dumping of ration in snowbound areas has already been sent to the higher authorities and the exercise is expected to complete till November.
The DDC directed all the stakeholders to activate respective emergency control rooms and furnish the location wise names and number of the Officials for circulating the same among the general public.
He directed the stakeholders to promptly address the distress calls during the winters and maintain the record of grievances in a comprehensive manner.
The SDRF was directed to deploy QRTs in far off places of the district to handle any emergency during winters.
Reviewing the medical emergency response mechanism, the Dy CMO apprised that there are around 40 ambulances available in the district. The DDC asked the department to widely share the locations, names of the drivers and their Mobile Numbers.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Additional Superintendent of Police, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Superintendent Engineer PWD, Executive Engineer Mechanical Department, PHE, PMGSY, AD FCS &CA, Dy CMO, AEE PDD, Officials of SDRF besides other concerned were also present.
