State chopper to be deployed for tribal medical emergency: LG Sinha
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said state helicopters will be deployed for tribal population in case of medical emergency.
“For medical emergency, state helicopter will be deployed for tribal population,” LG Sinha said while addressing a gathering at the closing ceremony of ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ here at General Zorawar Singh auditorium in University of Jammu.
The LG said: “Helicopter facility will help in timely diagnosis and treatment for the needy.
“We are committed for overall development of J&K tribal population,” he said, adding that the administration has taken several initiatives to ensure livelihood support and empowerment of tribals.
“New transit accommodations, tribal health scheme and smart schools will certainly improve the quality of life,” said Sinha.
“It is need of the hour to preserve and promote rich tribal cultural heritage. Culture not only enriches individual’s life but also strengthens community,” he said.
