Dozen employee in Sopore test positive, amid alarm by the authorities

While the authorities have already cautioned the employees to adhere to the sops, on Friday reports from Sopore said that 12 of government employees in the Municipal Council Sopore tested positive forcing the government to lock the office.

All of their primary and secondary contacts have been told to go for the tests while all those people who have come in contact with these employees have been told to monitor themselves before coming out of their homes.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a mass testing was done today in which 12 employees of Municipal Council Sopore tested positive for COVID-19 and all of them have been asked to self-isolate themselves.

In this regard, the officials said that the preventive measures are being taken by the authorities while all employees have been asked to go for testing and to take all precautionary measures.

The development comes amid rising cases of Coronavirus and Omicron from across the country.

Pertinently, 184 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 48 hours in Sopore town.
