Battling infection
With the third wave at its peak in Jammu and Kashmir the people are battling with the infection in their own way while the government has decided to go for weekend lockdowns and have also closed down all the private coaching centers so that the Omicron variant does not spread further.
The government of Jammu and Kashmir has been monitoring the situation on the ground and the review meetings are held periodically so that the measures are taken at the ground level to break the chain of the infection.
In this direction recently Lt Governor reviewed Covid-19 situation across the J&K. He reiterated importance of Tele-consultation, expanding services to far-flung areas and efficient monitoring of those in home isolation
Testing, Tracing, Treatment, Covid Appropriate Behaviour & Vaccination will continue to be the strategy to effectively fight Covid is the line of the government so far to combat the Omicron variant especially in the towns and cities.
Covid Appropriate Behaviour remains that key for stemming the infection to spread any further and in this general public will have to play their role on the ground as the onus lies on them and not on the government.
The government has kept the hospitals and health centers ready for any patient who needs hospitalization and they have also accelerated the process of testing so that the positive cases are segregated from the rest of the population.
