Grenade Attack in Bandipora
A cop was killed while 4 others sustained injuries after militants hurled a grenade in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a grenade was hurled towards a joint police and CRPF party near Nabirpora Nishat Park.
Three policemen and two troopers sustained injuries in the attack. The injured were shifted to the hospital from treatment. Hospital sources said that one of the cops (driver) succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as SPO Zubair Ahmed.
Joint Forces cordoned off the area after the attack. (KNT)
