Tawi River front project
There has been a lot of progress on many mega projects in Jammu and Kashmir despite the disruptions due to pandemic waves. Recently Lt Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for the Tawi River front development project.
He said that sustenance and rejuvenation of Tawi riverfront will create an economic engine for the holy city & generate employment opportunities for local communities.
While laying the foundation he talked about the heritage and history and said civilizations have prospered on the banks of rivers. Planned urbanization while respecting and restoring the delicate balance of nature can influence inclusive development.
Tawi riverfront will ensure proper infrastructure planning, unique business opportunities & enhance the quality of life of the citizens.
Social & cultural infrastructure, state-of-the-art amenities along the waterfront, projects to improve the water quality will create a world-class model of urban excellence in Jammu is the aim of the J&K administration by making the Tawi River front development project.
The government said that the aim is to create a vibrant riverfront that will become one of the most popular bucket list destinations for people of Jammu and also for the tourists.
