Dir Horticulture discusses road map for implementation of schemes
JAMMU, MAY 10: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak today chaired a meeting of Chief Horticulture Officers and Chief Canning Instructor of Jammu Division here at Horticulture Complex Talab Tillo to discuss the roadmap for implementation of various developmental activities during the financial year 2022-23 in Jammu Division.
During the course of the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on various agenda points. The officers appraised the chair about the status of development works undertaken for the development of Horticulture sector as a whole.
The Director impressed upon the officers to switch over to e-office mode of working and start Biometric attendance by May 15, 2022 in their respective offices. Further, he asked the officers to e-tender all the proposed civil works before May 31, 2022.
The Director instructed the officers to reach out to every nook and corner of their districts by way of organizing awareness camps, Kissan Goshties, etc. to ensure effective implementation of Departmental schemes for the ultimate benefit of the fruit growers and adopt due transparency in this respect. He further asked to acquaint the farmers about the utility of “Horticulture App” and subscription of “You Tube Channel” so that they can apply for availing benefits under different schemes online while sitting at home. The release of transport subsidy under CAPEX scheme in favour of the farmers who carry their produce from remote areas to the mandies for sale was also stressed upon.
The chair also reviewed the response regarding the sale of value added products in the facilitation centres across Jammu Division and directed the Chief Horticulture Officers to make them fully functional.
