DC B’la chairs Officers meet regarding Deliverables
All Departments to complete deliverables according to fixed timeline, Dr Sehrish
BARAMULLA, MAY 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today stressed on providing hassle free public services by strengthening accountability and transparency in offices and added that effective public service delivery and robust grievance redressal mechanism is fundamental to the good governance architecture.
The DC made these remarks while chairing a meeting with all officers of concerned departments at Dak Bungalow, here where several aspects pertaining to implementation of all the public deliverables meant for overall socio-economic development were comprehensively discussed.
On the occasion, all the departments presented the status of various developmental works undertaken in various sectors viz. health, education, rural development, PDD etc by the concerned executing agencies.
Reviewing the detailed departmental deliverables of all the departments including Social Welfare, Tourism, Forest, R&B, Food Civil Supplies, Health, Revenue, Jal Shakti and other concerned departments, the DC impressed upon all the officers to accomplish all the deliverables according to a fixed timeline and submit weekly reports to the District Administration with an extensive action plan with inter departmental convergence.
Pertinently, more than 360 Deliverables have been identified under different schemes on the directions of Chief Secretary J&K for their accomplishment by September this year.
While taking a sector wise review of various developmental works, the DC emphasized for adopting a coordinated approach for achieving the desired results. She stressed to ramp up the pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed well within the stipulated time period.
Moreover, the DC urged upon the concerned officers to identify the bottlenecks and weak points while accomplishing the achievements and come out with a possible solution to achieve the targets in a fixed timeline.
