Govt. establishes separate office for seamless implementation of ABDM across J&K
SRINAGAR, JULY 25: The J&K Government today established separate office of Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, J&K for smooth and seamless implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
An order issued in this regard by Health and Medical Education department reads, “in order to ensure immediate rollout & seamless implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, sanction is hereby accorded for setting up of office of Mission Director Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission J&K as a part of Directorate of National Health Mission, J&K”.
The order further reads that Mission Director, National Health Mission J&K is also nominated as Mission Director Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission J&K, while as Dr Shafqat Khan, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Health & Medical Education Department has been nominated as “Additional Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission J&K” in addition to his duties as Sectoral Expert and Overall Incharge for strategizing and on boarding of Public Services through online platforms. The order also reads that Additional Mission Director shall provide necessary support for seamless implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in UT of J&K in a time bound manner and assist Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) J&K in implementation of the Mission.
“The Mission Directorate, ABDM shall establish a State/UT team to enable effective implementation of the day-to-day operations of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission as per the guidelines of the Mission”, the order also reads.
“The efficacy of the instant set up shall be reviewed on quarterly basis by the Administrative Department to further streamline the logistics to carry out operations of the ABDM to meet the laid down objectives in a time bound manner”, it adds.
