Infrastructure projects
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is trying hard on the ground to complete infrastructure projects especially the roads in the difficult terrain areas. Road connectivity is very important in the Chenab valley region as on an average a lot of human lives are consumed due to road accidents.
It is imperative that the existing roads are upgraded and new roads are constructed so that the number of accidents goes down in these hilly areas of Jammu region.
Recently LG Manoj Sinha chaired a District Development review meeting in Kishtwar and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs.56.03 Crores at Conference Hall, DC Office complex, Kishtwar.
He said that the rate of completion of infrastructure projects, especially road, health, education, agriculture, power, telecom facilities, has been speeded up in entire Jammu and Kashmir especially in hilly areas.

The focus is on the economic connectivity of Kishtwar and reducing the rural and urban divide. Best of health, education facilities & equitable distribution and access to infrastructure will lead to sustained development and greater employment opportunities.
He instructed the officials to give special thrust for enhancing transparency and accountability in the working of the administration, besides streamlining the online services and ensuring door-step delivery of public services. He further passed explicit directions for completion of 79 Amrit Sarovar projects before 2nd October 2022.
