DEO Srinagar organizes mass awareness programme on SVEEP campaign at Womens College M.A. Road, GHSS, Sowar and Kothibagh
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 25:- As a part of the extensive Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign in District Srinagar, the District Election Authority on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who is also the District Election Officer (DEO) organized an awareness program regarding SVEEP under ongoing Special Summary Revision(SSR)- 2022 here at Government Women’s College M.A. Road.
During the awareness programme the students were apprised about registering themselves in Electoral Rolls of their respective areas.
Addressing on the occasion, the speakers urged that all eligible students must register themselves in the electoral rolls between already scheduled process from September 15 to October 25, 2022 & should secure Electors Photo Identity Card for themselves which is a valuable document for their future.
The students were also apprised that any student who is born on or before 01/10/2004 can get himself/herself registered in the electoral rolls by submitting Form 6 online or offline. They were also educated about the all available online & offline tools of Electoral Registration.
The students expressed their contentment by receiving the copies of Form 6 which they will submitting for becoming first time voters.
The Officers/Officials of District Election Authority ensured students all possible help in getting them registered as fresh electorates.
Similarly, as a part of the SVEEP Campaign schedule for Higher Secondary Institutions of the Srinagar District two awareness programs were also held today.
The events were organised at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Sonwar and Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kothibagh,
During the awareness programmes the students were provided the forms for inclusion, correction and transposition.
The designated Master Tainers educated the students about the ongoing SSR-2022 and also informed that all eligible students has the opportunity to register themselves in Electoral rolls.
The students were also updated that if anyone among their family members isn’t registered in the electoral rolls they too can apply for their registration during the period of SSR-2022.
The Heads of these Institutions also insisted students to get inclusion forms filled & return the same for to Electoral authorities for registration!
The students actively participated in the event & thanked the authorities for organizing this Electoral reach out program.
