Ayush institutions playing pivotal role in providing medical care facilities in far flung areas of J&K: Advisor Bhatnagar
Participates in 7th National Ayurveda Day celebrations at Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu
JAMMU, OCTOBER 23: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today remarked that Ayush institutions are playing a pivotal role in providing medical care facilities in far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Advisor made these comments while speaking during the 7th National Ayurveda Day (Dhanvantri Trayodashi or Dhanvantri Jayanti) celebrations at Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, Indira Chowk here.
The theme of this years National Ayurveda Day is ‘Har Ghar Har Din Ayurveda’.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar appreciated the role of Ayush during the Covid 19 pandemic for their outreach in mitigation and management efforts of Government during the pandemic. He also highlighted that the Ayush institutions situated in far flung areas are providing fundamental health care services to the people of these areas.
While speaking on different contours of Ayurveda, Advisor Bhatnagar urged upon the Ayush doctors to provide Ayush services and remain available for the service of public every time. He highlighted that the demand of Ayush medicare is increasing and people are generating trust in Ayush health care.
The Advisor on the occasion also underlined the importance of Ayurveda health education and said that Ayurveda health education must be part of Yoga sessions and included in the school curriculum.
Later, the Advisor also inspected various sections of the Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital and interacted with the medical officers, paramedical staff and patients with regard to the services being provided by different sections of the hospital.
As part of the National Ayurveda Day celebrations, Advisor Bhatnagar also planted sacred tree in the Arogya Vatika of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital.
During the program, a video documentary “Ayush Utkarsh- Development Story of Ayush Sector in J&K” was also showcaed which emphasized upon the various treatment procedures and operations of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital and how Ayush is changing the lives of people.
The Students of Govt. Ayurvedic Medical College also presented a skit on Ayurveda as well as a yoga demonstration was also exhibited on the occasion.
Director Ayush J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh; Medical Superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, Medical officers, paramedical staff, students, Ayurvedic organizations and representatives of Regional Research Institute of Ayurveda also participated in the program.
