Round 2nd of B2V-5 programme begins in 39 Panchayats at Gbl

ADDC visits several Panchayats to assess arrangements

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 10: Amid inclement weather, the round second of phase fifth of Back to Village (B2V-5) programme commenced today witnessing immense participation of PRIs and locals in district Ganderbal.

Under this round, the program was organized in 39 Panchayats of district Ganderbal during which designated Visiting Officers (VOs) along with supporting staff and Government functionaries reached their respective panchayats for two days and one night stay to listen to villagers and prepare and approve the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village.

 The Visiting Officers/ Prabhari Officers deployed in these Panchayats for B2V-5 interacted with people and noted their day-to-day developmental issues. They also took stock of the ongoing developmental works taken up in their Panchayats under different schemes and inspected functioning of the Schools, Wellness Centre, Anganwadi centres and other institutions.

Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Abid Hussain visited Kujar Panchayat as visiting officer and took stock of the demands fulfilled and the demands of priority. He undertook review of previous and current year deliverables with special focus on improving e-services penetration, user experience for greater accessibility etc.

Similarly, Under Secretary J&K Governor’s Grievance Cell, Azeeta Sehar Qureshi visited Panchayat Gadoora as Visiting Officer where she interacted with the people and took stock of development. She also reviewed saturation of different Centrally Sponsored Schemes including beneficiary oriented schemes like Jal Jeeven Mission, PMAY-G, PMEGP, PM-Kissan, KCC, etc.

Earlier, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani and Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri also visited several Panchayats where they witnessed the proceedings of ongoing Back to Village-5 programme and inspected the arrangements.

 Interacting with the people, the ADDC highlighted the importance of conducting 5th phase of “Back to village” programme which is being conducted to assess development on ground and bring administration at the door steps of people to listen to their developmental issues and demands. He also urged the locals to participate actively in such Government’s ambitious programme.
