Stray Dog Attack Leaves 17 Injured, Three Critical in Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Three women, two children, and twelve others were injured in a stray dog attack in north Kashmir’s Baramulla villages on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning when a stray dog bit seventeen people and several animals within a few hours in Heewan, Fathegarh, and Sheeri villages of Narvaw Baramulla.
The injured individuals were taken to PHC Sheeri, where doctors provided first aid and administered anti-rabies vaccines. Three critically injured individuals were then referred to GMC Baramulla.
Dr Azhar Majeed, Medical Officer at PHC Sheeri, said that all injured individuals received first aid, with three critically injured individuals being referred to GMC Baramulla for further treatment.
Just five days prior, a pack of stray dogs had attacked at least twelve individuals in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. (KS)
