Free Surgical Camp
Recently a free surgical camp was organized in Kathua to provide specialized medical services to over 2,000 beneficiaries in the hilly region.
It was Organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with SOS Memorial Trust Delhi.
The camp offered a range of comprehensive medical care, targeting 40 major and minor surgeries, with a particular focus on orthopedic and gallbladder procedures. The use of modern equipment has facilitated efficient service delivery, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
The District Administration, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas, along with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Raina and Block Medical Officer Dr. Dev Raj, has played a pivotal role in the seamless execution of the camp.
“This initiative highlights the success of public-private partnerships in making healthcare more accessible to underserved communities,” stated Dr. Raina.
He also praised the contributions of the SOS Memorial Trust and expressed optimism for future collaborations to further enhance healthcare services in the region.
