Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Flags Off ‘Run for Unity’ at SKICC, Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ programme at the scenic back lawn of SKICC, Srinagar, on Tuesday.

News agency KINS reported that the event witnessed the participation of officials from the civil administration, police, and CRPF, along with a significant number of young men and women who joined in to show their support.

The event began at 7 am with the playing of the national anthem, stirring a sense of patriotism and camaraderie among attendees.

The authorities expressed their happiness and emphasised the role of unity in fostering peace and development in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

They also extended gratitude to everyone who made the event possible, highlighting the joint efforts of the civil administration and security forces in ensuring the event’s success.

The Jammu and Kashmir traffic police issued a traffic advisory yesterday to ensure smooth traffic flow during the “Run for Unity” event in Srinagar.
