Winter preparedness
As the winter is approaching, Divisional commissioner Kashmir has reviewed the winter preparedness in all the districts.
In view of Winter Season ahead, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir recently convened a meeting to review the preparation of the District Administrations and the civil departments to ensure timely arrangements on ground for the convenience of general public across the Kashmir Division.
The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioner of Kashmir Division besides Ramban & Udhampur Districts, Division Level officers of various departments including IMD, R&B, MED, ULB, PMGSY, RDD, SMC, FCS&CA, PHE, KPDCL, KPTCL, NHAI, Health, Fire & Emergency, Horticulture Department, etc.
On the occasion, while reviewing the strategy of snow clearance from Urban & Rural roads by concerned departments, Divisional Commissioner directed officers to set new benchmark of preparation by augmenting deployment of machinery besides mobilization of full resources at their disposal for clearance of roads for restoration of connectivity.
He enjoined to adhere to the fixed timelines of snow clearance from priority roads and all other roads and directed for ensuring men & Machinery on ground by November 15.
