KPDCL Puts Power Teams on Alert as Snow, Rain Hit Kashmir Parts
With cloudy weather and the possibility of rain and snowfall in higher areas, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has put all its electric divisions on high alert.
A senior KPDCL official told KINS that this measure aims to ensure readiness for addressing any power disruptions caused by adverse weather.
“KPDCL has instructed its teams to stay prepared with repair crews and equipment on standby, allowing them to respond quickly to outages and maintain essential services,” he said.
Local authorities have also urged residents to promptly report any power issues and to exercise caution, as possible snowfall may impact electricity supply in some areas.
Fresh snowfall was reported in several parts of the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday, with Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Zojila Pass receiving significant snowfall.
