One Killed, Another Injured in Jammu Kashmir Road Accident
SRINAGAR: One person was killed, and another sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Reasi district on Saturday.
According to official sources, an Eeco vehicle travelling from Tharal towards Shikari skidded off the road and fell approximately 200 feet down an embankment in the Mahore area of the district.
“Noor Jamal (36), son of Noor Hussain of Shikari, died on the spot, while another passenger, Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Qasim, sustained serious injuries. Locals and police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to CHC Mahore for treatment. The accident occurred near Sharki at approximately 9:10 a.m,” they said.
A police official confirmed the fatality and the injuries and stated that a case has been registered, with further investigations underway. (GNS)
