Primary objective
The primary objective of the newly elected government is to bring governance closer to people, ensure their voices are heard.
Recently these sentiments were expressed by Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education while she was on a visit to Kulgam
She stated that addressing public grievances and ensuring welfare of citizens remains top priorities of the government led by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah. She underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening the public grievance mechanism to ensure prompt resolution of issues raised by the people.
She emphasized on the government’s commitment to making public administration more transparent, accountable and responsive to the needs of the people. “Our primary objective is to bring governance closer to the people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed swiftly”, Sakeena said.
“These grievance redressal camps are a step towards creating a more inclusive and participatory system of governance”, she added.
She remarked that the government is fully aware of the challenges faced by the people in rural areas and this camp is an opportunity for us to listen to their issues at their doorsteps and also take immediate actions to resolve them. “We want to ensure that every individual, regardless of their background or location, feels empowered and supported by our government”, Sakeena maintained.
