The Jammu and Kashmir administration has stepped up its rural sanitation drive with a renewed focus on ensuring the effective implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

J&K government has already embarked on the path to get data verification, and function-focused monitoring to ensure that rural sanitation efforts yield tangible results. The administration aims to build liveable, clean, and sustainable villages.

Due to the liberal central funding, J&K government is trying to collect solid waste from every household in every village.

Innovative practices have also been introduced to promote sustainability and community involvement.

The administration has approved a comprehensive plan to further improve rural sanitation in Jammu and Kashmir. The plan aims to build on the progress made so far and address the challenges that remain in achieving the mission’s objectives.

The rural sanitation drive is part of the administration’s broader efforts to improve the quality of life in rural areas and promote sustainable development.

The mission’s success will depend on the effective implementation of its initiatives and the active participation of local communities.
