Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently handed over appointment letters to 80 next of kin of terror victims in Jammu, as part of the his administration’s ongoing initiative to offer government jobs, financial support, and other assistance to families affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
He has reiterated the commitment of his administration to help all the terror victim families in Jammu and Kashmir and to provide government jobs to their kith and kin in due course of time.
LG has directed administration to launch an in ternal web portal to track applications and ensure timely processing of relief, with helplines activated in all districts and divisional levels for support and grievance redressal of these terror victim families. Many terror victim families in the past have approached the office of LG and have complained that their applications were in the pipeline and were not being addressed promptly by the government officials. In response to these complaints LG has tried to provide a transparent system for these families so that they have not wait endlessly either for the government jobs or for any help from the administration.
