BSF says they shot at a drone on the border at Jammu

The Border security Forces has told media in Jammu that during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday they spotted a drone at the international border of Arnia and started firing towards it forcing it to retreat.
This is one of the many incidents which have happened in the Jammu region in the recent past and on June 27, during the night there was a drone attack on the airport in Jammu which caused some damage and also injured a few persons.
According to the news agency KNO while reporting about this incident it said in its report that the Border security Forces personnel on Tuesday late night fired at a suspected drone after noticing suspicious activity along the International Border in Arnia sector of Jammu.
In an official statement, BSF said that on the intervening night of 13 and 14 July a blinking red light was observed by the troops at Arnia sector at a height of 200 meters on this side of the border.
“Alert troops fired from their position towards the red blinking light due to which it returned back,” BSF said.
It further informed that following the incident, searches were launched in the area.
