Tribal children
On the instructions of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha J&K administration has taken slew of measures for the tribal population of Jammu and Kashmir to make their lives better.
The government of Jammu and Kashmir is very keen to uplift the tribal population and wants to give them better education so that the future generations can live with dignity.
In this direction recently the Tribal Affairs Department (TAD) collaborated with Japan’s SHIN PROGRAM to launch activity based learning in 100 tribal areas of J&K.
Dr Shahid Choudhary who is heading the Tribal Affairs Department (TAD) told the media that he held preliminary coordination interaction with Japan based Shin education and is hopeful that they will provide quality education to the tribal children.
He said that recently he has introduced dozens of schemes to uplift the tribal population in Jammu and Kashmir and now the focus would be on the education of tribal children.
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to empower tribal students by this Shin program of Japan based on various hands-on activities.
Government said that the program would be started soon and the focus would be for the complete development of tribal children, soft skills (non-cognitive abilities) and essential skills (cognitive abilities) through the Japanese style learning program.
