Covid Scenario
There has been a slight surge in the overall covid cases but most of the cases are being reported from Srinagar city. This prompted the government to identify many micro containment zones in Srinagar city in order to stop the spread of possible third wave.
The government of Jammu and Kashmir is monitoring the situation closely while they have kept a thrust on the vaccination so that more and more people are saved from death by this infection.
Recently Lt Governor reviewed J&K’s Covid scenario & containment measures with Covid Task Force, DCs & SSPs.
He directed a joint team of police & civil administration to strictly enforce Covid protocol; Scale up vaccination coverage and ensure that the violators are punished so that the common people are saved from the spread of the infection because of the irresponsible behavior of some residents.
He directed for aggressive tracing of contacts of positive cases; effective containment measures in areas declared as containment zones and have asked the different wings of the government to go according to the protocol in these containment zones so that other people are saved from covid-19
There is no denying the fact that in the entire Kashmir valley there has been violation during the marriages ceremonies and other social gatherings and such violations can become the source of spread of infection to the other people in Jammu and Kashmir.
