Higher education
Government is trying to reinvent and redefine higher education especially at the university level. Recently LG Manoj Sinha interacted with VCs of Universities of J&K in order to see the progress for the innovation.
He reviewed programmes undertaken by Varsities under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
During the interaction he asked all the VC’s to Fast-track NEP-2020 implementation; Focus on Skilling & Employability of students; Promotion of local languages & culture through the mode of education.
He said that universities should invest more in Innovation & Incubation, providing our youth with prospects for the future and strengthening the position of young women in the society.
There is no doubt that the teachers can only lead the journey of development & prosperity of J&K.
Government has been trying its best so that Research must flow from Labs to Field for the benefit of the common man.
He directed Agriculture Universities to focus on developing innovative ways to reduce the input cost of farmers & increase production.
Unless the production is not increased by the scientific methods the average life of a farmer cannot change for the better.
