Rural development in focus
In order to give a boost to the rural economy, the J & K administration is focusing on different schemes in the rural development sector.
In Srinagar district recently the Deputy Commissioner took a wise review of the RDD sector. He asked Officers to lay thrust on different verticals under Phase-2 of SBM.
He during the review meeting was informed by his officials that 82% expenditure made under Area Development Fund during FY 2022-23
He took a detailed review of different schemes being executed under the RDD sector in all Panchayat Blocks of Srinagar District.
He directed the Officers to prioritize implementation of all Government sponsored schemes so that targets are achieved in time with tangible results on the ground so that people are benefited with these schemes.
He directed the implementation agencies to redouble their efforts to ensure cent percent saturation of all the deliverables under the programme in all Panchayats in all 4 blocks of the District.
He was given firsthand appraisal about physical/ financial status of MGNREGA, components of Swachh Bharat Mission, Area Development Plan, status on construction of Panchayat Ghar, status on the newly proposed works and works executed under PMKKY.
