Dir Horti flags off progressive farmers exposure tour
SRINAGR, FEBRUARY 10: Director Horticulture, Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today flagged off progressive farmers exposure tour under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
The tour is organised by Chief Horticulture officer Srinagar in which thirty orchardists from Zakura and Shalimar Zone participated.
The touring orchardists were accompanied by Horticulture Development officers of Zakura and Shalimar.
During the tour, the orchardists will visit Centre of Excellence and High Density Orchard at Zawoora Srinagar.
On the occasion, Director Horticulture Kashmir highlighted the importance of Horticulture sector for the economy of UT and stressed upon the farmers to adopt latest technology to maximize fruit production.
