Govt keen to promote, uplift MSMEs in JK: Dwivedi
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 13: Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce, M. K. Dwivedi, today chaired a meeting here to review the functioning of Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP).
The meeting was attended by the Special Secretary I&C Department, Director I&C Department Jammu, Managing Director SICOP and Director (Finance) I&C Department.
During the meeting, Managing Director SICOP Atul Sharma, gave a detailed account about various activities being performed by the Corporation and the achievements made so far to the Commissioner Secretary.
Addressing the meeting, Dwivedi expressed satisfaction that J&K SICOP being a profit-earning Corporation has been meeting all its expenses through its earnings.
He stressed upon the Corporation to re-double its efforts to support the MSMEs in the form of providing raw materials, undertake marketing of their end products and also providing handholding in other areas.
The Commissioner Secretary also directed Managing Director SICOP for conducting of MSME conclaves so that the industry is aware about the policies of the Government with regard to MSME.
