Police solves case within 12 hours, accused arrested
SRINAGAR, Feb 16: Police solved a kidnapping case of a newborn baby here and arrested the accused person involved in the crime
Police in Srinagar received information that last night, a day old baby was kidnapped from Lal Ded Hospital Srinagar by an unknown person, a police spokesman said.
Subsequently, during the course of investigation police team from Rajbagh Police Station tracked the accused person and arrested him within 12 hours. The kidnapped new-born baby was safely recovered. After completion of necessary formalities, the new born baby was handed over to his family, he added.
A case FIR No. 17/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in police station Rajbagh, spokesman said.
