DDC Budgam takes stock of targets achieved under Capex Budget

BUDGAM, MARCH- 09: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers to have a first-hand appraisal of works completed, expenditure incurred and targets achieved under different sectors and schemes, which were taken in hand by various departments and agencies under district Capex outlay for the year 2019-20.

During the meeting, DDC said an amount of Rs. 155.72 crore was approved under district Capex budget for District Budgam under state and central components. Out of which an amount of Rs. 38.21 crore was made available for expenditure on the works, projects and other welfare schemes in the district through the departments of Education, Health, R&B, PDD, PHE, I&FC, Social Welfare, RDD, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries.

The DDC said that an amount of Rs. 22.10 crore has been expended till March-07 on key sectors, thus achieving the target of 58 per cent.

Taking strong note of the slow pace in achieving the fixed targets, the DDC directed all concerned to make all efforts and achieve the targets within the given timeframe.

He urged that remaining work on all incomplete projects currently under execution across the district should be completed before the expiry of current financial year.

The meeting was also attended by CPO, all SDMs, DIO, CEO, Executive Engineers of all streams, BDO and other concerned.
