Srinagar, April 11 (KNS): Director Industries Kashmir on Saturday handed over two Covid 19 testing booths to Director SKIMS Soura Dr A G Ahangar and one more booth to Head CD Hospital, Srinagar Dr Naveed Nazir to prevent the spread of infection and to ensure minimal exposure to doctors at the hospitals.
According to KNS,Proprietor Himalayan Steel Rolling Industries Pvt. Ltd., Rangreth Shahid Kamili manufactured these Covid booths under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and handed over to Director Industries for further distribution to hospitals
Dr. Naveen and Dr Ahangar appreciated the gesture and expressed their happiness on taking over the possession of the Covid booths.
Furthermore, J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (SICOP) Bemina installed one decontamination tunnel at Sanat Ghar Bamina to ensure that officers, employees and the general public visiting the department are subjected to proper decontamination as a necessary and precautionary measure to fight Covid spread.
This is first such decontamination tunnel installed at Industries and Commerce department, Bemina.
The department is also planning to install more such tunnels at various industrial estates and its district offices in Kashmir division to prevent Covid-19 spread.
Besides, the entrepreneurs of the Industrial Estate (IE) Lassipora donated an amount of Rs 5 lakh under CSR initiative and established a quarantine centre in the Lassipora IE premises.
The entrepreneurs have taken these steps to supplement the efforts of the district administration and to ensure that Covid-19 pandemic is jointly and effectively prevented from spreading.(KNS)
