Administration barring my movement, others allowed to move freely :Congress Leader, BDC Chairman
Srinagar April 22 (KNS):Congress Leader & BDC Chairman today hit out at District Administration over barring him from performing his duties in his Block (Kakapora)
He also questioned the Pulwama Distt Administration over facilitating the movement of other BDC Chairmen in the District, urging allow him to work for which he has been chosen.
In a statement issued to KNS, Congress Leader Umer Jan, who is also BDC Chairman of Kakapora slammed the Pulwama District Administration over barring him from performing his legitimate duties in his block, whilst various other BDC Chairman are moving freely in their blocks, which is very discriminatory and unacceptable.
Citing the example of various BDC Chairmen of Dadsara (Tral) Ichgoz, Lassipora and Pulwama, who were moving freely in their blocks, why only he was the exception, if the administration has decided to restrain BDC Chairman from moving in their blocks , then, the order so passed needs to be implemented in both letter and spirt, covering every BDC Chairman, you cannot stop only particular individual and allow movement of others in the District, Umer Jan tells Pulwama District Administration
Since the outbreak of covid 19, as BDC Chairman, I am doing my utmost to ensure relief to poor and needy, sanitization and other social work I am undertaking with dedication inorder to ensure that people of my block remain safe, but the attitude of the Administration towards me is disappointing, Umer Jan said
BDC Chairman sought the indulgence of Chief Secretary J&K into the matter, urging him to intervene into the matter and ensure that he too is allowed to undertake relief measures in his block, Umer Jan added and emphasized the District Administration Pulwama to change its attitude, allow him to perform his duties, in the larger interests of the people.(KNS)
