LOCKDOWN VIOLATIONS
Police and authorities in Srinagar city have been strictly enforcing lockdown to arrest the spread of coronavirus. Recently police said that they have filed over 1000 FIR’s in Kashmir against people for violating a lockdown orders of the government.
On April 23, government in a statement said that they have sealed 10 shops and seized over a dozens of vehicles in different areas of Srinagar city for violating lockdown orders.
After a high level meeting in recent past, district magistrate of Srinagar has directed police and civilian authorities in different zones to act against the violators and take strict against action them.
During such actions Tehsildar and police officers in their respective jurisdictions arrest the people violating the lockdown orders. In the recent past dozens of shops have been sealed by the government as they extended the lockdown up to May 3, 2020 without giving any respite to the common people.
District authorities of Srinagar have issued a strict warning against future lockdown violation and told police to seize all the private vehicles moving around in the city without any proper permission.
It is in place to mention that district authorities of Srinagar have imposed complete restrictions on public movement and activities on March 19, as one case was found positive a day earlier in Khanyar locality of Srinagar.
Now the authorities are strictly enforcing the restrictions as the holy month of Ramadan is going to start from tomorrow.
