Militant Arrested During Search Operation In Shopian: Police
Srinagar- Police claimed to have arrested a militant during a search operation at Khojpura area of Zainpora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
A senior Police officer said that a joint team of Police and army’s 1RR launched Cordon-and-search-operation in Khojpora in wee hours, reported news agency GNS.
During the searches, a militant identified as Zakir Ahmad Khan resident of Khojpora was arrested, he added.
The arrested militant had recently joined Lashkar-e Taiba (LeT) and from his possession one 9MM Pistol and other war like stores was recovered, the officer added.
