SDH Kupwara to resume dialysis from June 15, other operations from June 20: DC
Kupwara, June 12, (KNS): District administration Kupwara on Friday decided to resume dialysis and other operation in the SDH Kupwara from June 20, which earlier were suspended due to precautionary measures for containment of Covid-19 pandemic.
Deputy Commossioner Kupwara Anshul Garg told KNS that District administration Kupwara had earlier designated Sub-District Hospital Kupwara as isolation facility centre for Covid-19 patients while hospital premises and it adjacent area were declared Red zone. At this occasion the Dialysis facility at SDH Kupwara was timely suspended as there were only Covid-19 patients and suspects who were being treated at the facility.
“Besides the working of SDH Sogam and DH Handwara as dialysis centers for concerned patient, the decision left the patients to suffer badly. However on Friday the district administration decided to resume the Dialysis facility in SDH Kupwara from June 15 while other normal activities shall resume from June 20”, officials said.
They appealed people living across the district to follow the preventive measures and stay indoors to avoid the virus.
It to mention here that Member Parliament (MP) Fayaz Ahmed Mir earlier have demanded shifting of Covid19 treatment facility from Kupwara district hospital and designate some other place in Kupwara as Covid19 hospital.(KNS)
