COVID-19 Unlock 1.0: DC Inspects Several Locations at Sopore, B’la; Reviews Implementation of SOPs, Guidelines
Baramulla, June 13(KNS): With an aim to get the first appraisal of the implementation of SOPs and guidelines that have been issued in the wake of administration’s decision of unlocking COVID-19 lockdown, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompained by various concerned officers today inspects several locations at Sopore and main town Baramulla and took review of the situation.
On the occasion, DC took a detailed appraisal of the situation during which he emphasized to follow the issued guidelines in letter and spirit. He directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all SOPs especially odd-even system of shops, social distancing, using of face masks are being followed by all the stakeholders.
Dr itoo exhorted upon the shopkeepers to abide by the guidelines issued by the administration in the interest of public health. He said that such measures were taken to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 infection.
Meanwhile, DC also inspects Fruit Mundi Sopore where he took review of the situation. He stressed upon them to follow all SOPs and other health advisories so that the risk of infection is minimized.
Dr Itoo also urged the people to use face masks and avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings so that they can save themselves from any kind of eventuality.
Earlier, the DC in presence of Chief Agriculture Officer Baramulla Mohammad Yousf Shah and other functionaries of the department inaugurates Refrigerated Van for Marketing of Hybrid Vegetables here at Mini Secretariat. The van with the capacity of 9 Tons shall be used by farmers for the marketing of their agricultural produce within or outside the J&K only after paying the fuel charges(KNS).
